Food's Back!
09.25.04 (11:16 am)   [edit]

It's no so much the food, more the comfort of having it in my belly..

Hunger is something that no one should experience (unless of course from his/her own will or desire)

For me, being the skinny guy that I am, some times it's very hard to stick with yom kipur to it's end. but I usually make it :) yay me...

Since I overthink in regular days I spend my yom kippurs doing the opposite. as in avoiding thought as much as possible. It works better in terms of quieting the mind. so I found anyways.

i've always admired physical acts of penance, meditation, atonement, etc of religions.

i'm not religious, but i went to a catholic highschool - i learnt about the Jewish faith in Studies of Religion and found it highly engaging...this just made me want to read about it again. :)

btw, once yom kippur's over, be sure to fill your belly - we don't want you wasting away on us!
