Tsunami and HNY

Tsunami

Okay, so I given up to the events.. in a way.

As of now, about 125,000 people have been counted as dead in the tsunami disaster at south east asia.

For me, it's sad and devestating, but is also a miracle, since as many as 10000 israelis are traveling this region at any given time, and our death toll there stands on about 7 so far.

I know it makes no difference, but it's still a ray of light.

Okay, now, if you can spare some change (5 dollars and upwards) head over to Amazon and donate for the survivors. It's basically for food and medical supplies which they will need desperately over the next few weeks or even months.

And now to a sharp turn:

Happy New Year

It's Welcome 2005, Goodbye 2004.

Over here, we have mixed feelings about New Year's Eve. or Sylvester's night.

As Jews, we have a totally different calendar which supposedly spans back to the beginning of life on earth. (which according to the bible would be about 5000 years ago, give or take)

We do celebrate new year's eve, but I suspect it's simply an excuse to party, drink a shitload of alcohol, and kiss at midnight. (which I always thought was a real nice touch :>)

Anyways, I wish you all a happy new year, and may your new year be better than the last in every possible way!

In accordance with the Prophecy!

Well.. umm.. same to you! And I would donate, but I can't.. I'm trying to save my money, but the fact that lastnight I bought food for my family doesn't support that.. but, no one knows! My mom owes me 20 bucks now! =D

Boredom has forced me to post meaningless things.. It's taken over me. >_>

Happy New Year to you too! :)

I live in South east Asia and very lucky to have been spared. The devatation is beyond words. I hope people will heed your call to donate. People really need it...the death toll is estimated to reach 400 000!

May God continue to watch over those of us still alive, for we are in his mercy.

i've donated - it was all i could manage. it's a terrible time, and it seems 2005 is going to be a year of picking up the pieces for some.

happy new year to you - enjoy it!
